During the holiday season a Google team created a YouTube video showing a collaboratively created snowflake design. Last Friday a link was passed around twitter asking for collaborative artists to add their own designs to a spreadsheet. There were over 33 authenticated users, some just chose to add art anonymously. Here is a sample of what was created.
To me, this looks like one large group doodle. People still seem hesitant about altering work that has already been created. I would like to see this project done again where people were more encouraged to alter other designers work - true collaboration. Perhaps this assignment should be given to children, studies have shown they are less hesitant to alter their classmate's work.
